There once was a cat.
that swallowed a hat.
Everyone was impressed with such a feat,
try as he might not even the dog could compete.
Though quickly the joy did disappear,
as the cat realized the hat was heading for its rear.
He pushed and coughed and jumped up and down,
nothing would move it… and then came a sound.
From his stomach came a noise like no one had heard,
it struck fear in the children they couldn’t say a word.
For hours he rolled and moaned in his plight,
you can be sure it became quite a fight.
Finally the next morning the hat did appear,
and as you can imagine the cat had a sore rear.
